Prof. Immaculata Ifunanya Chinnia Nwokoro (Ph.D, MNITP, RTP)
Prof. Nwokoro, eldest daughter of the late Sir Boniface A. Ejiogu, is a distinguished Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Lagos with nearly three decades of academic and research leadership.
She has held numerous influential roles in university governance, including Head of Department, Deputy Director of Quality Assurance and SERVICOM Unit, and Director of the Centre for General Studies. She has also contributed to national policy evaluation, serving as Team Lead for Kano State during the TETFund Impact Assessment (1999–2018), and as Chairman of the Presidential Visitation Panel to Federal University, Otuoke (2021).
Prof. Nwokoro is also active in educational and women’s development initiatives, having served on the University of Lagos Women Society Board, which manages schools and student housing. She is a proud alumna of Federal Government Girls’ College, Owerri, where she later served as President of the Old Girls Association, Lagos Chapter (2017–2019).
Her outstanding service has earned her recognition as an erudite scholar, respected administrator, and community leader. She brings to the foundation both academic rigor and a deep passion for mentorship and community impact, continuing her father’s legacy of educational empowerment.
