The Scholarship Program
The Sir Boniface Ejiogu Foundation is committed to supporting brilliant but financially disadvantaged students from the Agwa community. If you meet the eligibility criteria, we invite you to apply for our scholarship program.
To qualify for the Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be an indigene of Agwa community, Imo State
- Be enrolled in or seeking admission into a government-owned secondary school in Imo State
- Come from a financially disadvantaged family (proof of need required)
- Demonstrate strong academic commitment and good conduct
Eligibility Criteria
What the Scholarship Covers
The scholarship package is designed to remove major financial barriers to education. Support includes:
- Tuition Fees (₦20,000)
- Book Allowance (₦50,000)
- Uniforms (₦35,000)
- Accommodation (₦50,000)
- Transportation (₦60,000)
- Exam Fees – SSCE (₦40,000) and JSCE (₦15,000)
- Library & Internet Access (₦20,000)
- Out-of-Pocket Expenses (₦30,000)
Total value:
₦305,000 per senior student (SS3)
₦280,000 for JSS3
₦265,000 for other levels
Application Process
- Complete the Application Form (either online via the foundation’s website, or by picking a form from your nearest community centre)
- Screening & Shortlisting – Applications are reviewed, and shortlisted candidates are invited for interviews
- Interview & Selection – Final selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and conduct
- Notification – Successful candidates will be contacted.

Only indigenes of Agwa community from financially disadvantaged families are eligible.
Yes. Both new entrants and current students in government-owned secondary schools can apply.
Yes. The top three students will be supported through university, regardless of their course of study (subject to Board approval).
Yes. Unsuccessful applicants are encouraged to reapply in the following academic year.
Selection is based on a combination of academic merit, financial need, and good conduct.
